What Makes Our School Unique?
The basis for the learning environment at Margaret Allen Middle School is deeply embedded in the standard and the strategies for teaching and learning. Our teachers believe that every child has a natural desire to learn and it is their job to:
- Carefully prepare the environment to foster the child's natural discovery process
- Help the child develop at his/her own pace through interacting with the environment
- Use independent investigation as well as teacher directed instruction
- Encourage the child to develop creative problem solving skills
- Leadership team leads grade levels in innovation and model implementation strategies
This type of program facilitates teaching and learning and at the core is respect for each person, for all life and for the environment. Respect for each child's uniqueness leads to trust, and trust is essential for learning and growth. |
