WELCOME TO GRADESPEED!
Gradespeed is the new on-line grading system purchased by MNPS. It allows parental access to your student’s grades, assignment, and attendance on one easy page. You can also access multiple students (for example, siblings), from one page instead of having to sign out and log back in for each student. Gradespeed is also compatible with the Chancery SMS system already in use by MNPS. Teachers now have to enter your student’s information one time in Gradespeed as opposed to two or three times with other grading software systems.
Signing up for a user account is easy. First, you access the Gradespeed login screen at https://gradespeed.mnps.org/pc. Then, you will need to follow the prompts to sign up. You will need a valid email address to successfully establish a user name and password. Gradespeed will then send you a verification code via email. After verifying your account, you will then be able to add your student to your user name. You can have up to three user names per student.
Here are several common problems with accessing your student and their solutions:
- Invalid Student ID – Your student’s id number is their social security number with no dashes or slashes.
- Invalid Student Address – The address that you have entered does not match the address listed in the Chancery SMS system. Contact the school office to have the address corrected.
- Invalid Student Birth date – The birth date should be listed in the following format mm/dd/yyyy.
- Student Does Not Exist – Of course, your student exists. Contact the school office to verify your student’s social security number and address. You will only get this message if everything you entered is incorrect.
Once you have successfully accessed your student, you will be able to click on anything that is highlighted in blue. You can click the teacher’s name to send an email. You can also click the number grade to see individual assignments, grading, and distribution of grading weight (for example: tests = 50% of total grade; homework = 25% etc.)
If you need any kind of assistance in setting up GradeSpeed, please contact the school office---291-6385!
